Compagnie Sublime grew out of 'Les Rencontres du Lundi Soir' in Paris during 2000, where cutting edge theatre practictioners met every Monday to thrash out new and innovative ideas.

Trained at Central School of Speech and Drama, and at Paris' own Raymond Girard and Jacques Le Coq, founders Camilla Mathias and Emily Hobbs have produced and starred in numerous productions. Following the storming of Paris and its environs, Compagnie Sublime set its sights on London.

This fresh and diverse company create new stage translations of French and Italian plays and novels. Their London première was a cinematic charade of Marivaux's Le Jeu de L'Amour et du Hasard, a risqué revamp of Dangerous Liaisons followed. Their next projects include re-workings of Feydeau, Maupassant and Simone de Beavoir, Goldoni and Racine.
