Examples of Camilla's artwork appear below, followed by her biography. Please contact her directly for sales and commissions at email@camillamathias.com
Camilla creates her artwork in the wings of her career as an actress. Her experiences of life on tour – from Milanese villages to Parisien Ateliers – bring a colourful European energy to her paintings. She is at her best creating stylised portraits, and regularly undertakes commissions. Other work ranges from company logos and illustrations to poster and greetings card designs.
Recent commissions include the British Actors’ Equity ICAF Logo and Royal Mechanics’ Institute Stained Glass Window. In the last year Camilla's work has appeared at Embankment Tube station, Soho agency Archibald Ingall Stretton, Teddington’s The Anglers and Notting Hill’s Grove Café. She most recently exhibited at The Royal Society of Women Artists 146th Exhibition at The Mall Galleries, London SW1, officially opened by Gloria Hunniford.
A selection of Camilla's work is also currently on show at The Angler's (Next to Teddington Studios on Broom Road, TW10).
As an artist’s model, Camilla has worked with ecclectic photographers Marco Sanges and David Turner. She has also been stitching her own wearable creations since the age of thirteen - the best way to get totally original clothes that fit perfectly!
